About

Creativity & Well-being Meet in Perfect Harmony

Fern Song Studio is a working artist studio in a serene woodland setting, offering a unique blend of art and wellness. Our immersive workshops combine creative practices with healing arts like yoga, sound bathing, meditation, voice work, bodywork, and forest grounding—guided by expert faculty to inspire growth, relaxation, and creativity.

No experience is needed, and workshops are open to adults, teens, families, women’s groups, and Mommy & Me participants. We also offer professional instruction in painting, drawing, ceramics, and mixed media for all skill levels.

Custom private sessions are available for team-building, retreats, or homeschool groups. Our on-site gallery hosts rotating exhibitions.

History

Established in 2025.

Fern Song Studio Arts and Wellness Studio held its inaugural workshop event & party in February 2025, and what a wonderful event it was!! The Studio is the long time dream & brainchild of myself , Pamela J Bowers, a former professor of studio art & long time student of wellness practices. As full time artist no longer teaching, pursuing my own artistic practice in solitude I was aware that I was healing from the pressures of contemporary life. This I wanted to share, which in turn led me to envision a place of solace and learning. Fern Song Studio was born!! My vision was to create a space that would allow me to combine my deep knowledge of studio art with that of colleagues in wellness practices or healing arts. That vision is here. The purposes of the studios are many: to foster individual creativity, to encourage fellowship and help create a sense of well being in my community and to just plain teach art. Looking forward to more.

About the Owner, Pam Bowers

I am an artist , lifelong traveler, therapeutic arts student with a curiosity for travel and all things sacred with  a very diverse but focused  range of experiences. As a retired Instructor of Art from USC  I have many skills  to draw upon with which to create exciting new workshop and class ideas. I have also taught children, teens,  and the general public. My passion is for sharing art & creativity while collaborating with colleagues and friends in wellness, healing or spiritual practices at my newly developed space . My  deep knowledge of painting, drawing, solar prints& ceramics guides my hand as I put together original unique workshops and classes. My biggest wish is for participants in events, classes and workshops is that they come away with not only a feeling of being refreshed but with beautiful art of their  own .  I am privileged to have a natural woodland setting in which to work that is anywhere from 10 to 40 minutes from greater Columbia. I hope to see you soon!
